Privacy & Terms of Service
Effective date: April 17, 2026. This page explains how CodingRoo Academy collects and processes data, and the terms that govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and related services.
Privacy Policy
1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to CodingRoo Academy websites and products, including but not limited to CodePark and ChildGPT. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, CodingRoo Academy is the data controller for personal information described in this policy unless a separate agreement states otherwise.
2. Information we collect
We may collect: (a) account information such as name, email, username, age group, and parent or guardian contact details where applicable; (b) transaction and billing information such as top-up records, invoices, and payment status; (c) technical and usage data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, approximate location, log files, and feature interaction events; and (d) communications you send to us through support channels, feedback forms, and service messages.
3. How we use personal information
We process personal information to provide services, authenticate users, maintain account security, process payments, personalize educational experiences, improve product quality, diagnose technical issues, prevent abuse and fraud, comply with legal obligations, and communicate important service notices. We may also use aggregated and de-identified analytics to improve platform performance and learning outcomes.
4. Legal bases for processing
Depending on your jurisdiction, we process data where necessary to perform a contract with you, fulfill legal obligations, pursue our legitimate interests in operating and securing services, and, where required, based on your consent. You may withdraw consent for optional processing at any time, but this does not affect prior lawful processing.
5. Children's data and parent responsibilities
Certain CodingRoo services are designed for minors. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising child account use, managing credentials, and guiding safe online behavior. Where required by law, we seek parent or guardian authorization for child accounts. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers that support hosting, analytics, payment processing, security monitoring, and customer support, subject to contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and applicable law. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it using reasonable safeguards.
8. Data security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be fully secure, and users should also protect account credentials and use strong passwords.
9. Cross-border transfers
Our services may involve processing data in multiple countries. Where cross-border transfer is required, we apply reasonable legal and contractual protections appropriate to the nature of the data and the transfer scenario.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to local law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent related to your personal information. You may also update certain account settings directly in product interfaces. To submit a request, use our official support channels and provide enough information for identity verification and request handling.
11. Policy updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. Material updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of services after the effective date indicates acknowledgment of the revised policy.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using CodingRoo services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you use our services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activities under your account, including actions by authorized users, children, and family members using your credentials. You must promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized access or security incident.
3. Permitted use
Services are provided for lawful educational, learning, and creative purposes. You may not use the platform to violate laws, infringe intellectual property, distribute harmful content, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt service operations, or bypass safety and usage controls.
4. Product access and availability
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. While we aim for reliable service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance windows, technical failures, third-party dependencies, and force majeure events may affect access.
5. Fees, top-ups, and billing
Certain services are offered on a pay-as-you-go basis. You are responsible for usage-based charges, payment method accuracy, and applicable taxes. Top-up balances, credits, and promotions are subject to specific rules disclosed at the time of purchase and may have expiration, eligibility, or non-transferability limits.
6. Refunds and disputes
Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated in a written policy, fees already consumed through service usage are generally non-refundable. If you believe charges are incorrect, contact our support team promptly with transaction details so we can review and resolve billing disputes in good faith.
7. Intellectual property
CodingRoo and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the platform, software, trademarks, branding, and related materials. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use services for permitted purposes.
8. User content and license
You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform. You grant CodingRoo a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display such content solely as needed to provide and improve services, maintain safety controls, and comply with law. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you upload.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe there is a violation of these terms, abuse of services, non-payment, security risk, legal requirement, or conduct that may harm users or platform integrity. Upon termination, your right to use services ends, but provisions that by nature survive will remain in effect.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free performance. Educational and AI-assisted outputs may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed by users.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodingRoo and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from or related to service use. Our total liability for claims relating to paid services is limited to the amounts you paid for the relevant services in the period specified by applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CodingRoo, its affiliates, and personnel from claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of services, your content, or your breach of these terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where the relevant CodingRoo entity operates, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Parties should first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussions. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to competent courts or other dispute resolution forums as required by law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Updated terms become effective when posted unless otherwise specified. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Contact
For legal, privacy, billing, or policy questions, please contact CodingRoo Academy through official support channels listed on our website so we can route your request to the appropriate team.
